 Double Glazing
Facts and what to be aware of:
  • Double glaze IS better than single glaze
  • Double glaze units generally come with 10 year warranty
  • Comfort Plus is NOT as good as double glaze
  • Comfort Plus only comes with a 5 year warranty
  • There is a special list of conditions on the warranty of Comfort Plus. Warranty Document.
  • Comfort plus is very hard to keep clean. Cleaning instructions
  • Some sales people will sell ONLY what they can manufacture
  • A majority of older window systems do not have the capabilty of accepting double glaze units

 
  • Single glazed windows are very easy and straight forward to manufacture
  • A 12mm gap in a double glaze unit is BEST
  • A 6mm gap in a double glazed unit is NOT RECOMMENDED
  • Most customers that have purchased Double Glazed have researched the information themselves
  • Your builder will not be paying your electricity bill when you move into your new home, why let him select your windows?
  • If your builder choses your windows, generally you will receive the cheapest NOT the best
